This site should work for anyone who needs to use it, including with a screen reader, a keyboard, or at a text size larger than the designer had in mind.
What we have done
- Semantic headings in order, so a screen reader can navigate by structure rather than by guesswork.
- Every image carries descriptive alternative text, and decorative images are marked as such.
- Every form field has a visible label associated with it, not a placeholder standing in for one.
- Keyboard focus is visible on every interactive element, and nothing is reachable by mouse alone.
- Colour is never the only carrier of meaning — status is also stated in words.
- Text reflows without loss of content at 320px width and at 200% zoom.
- Motion is reduced automatically where the operating system requests it.
Known limitations
The sourcing tool's result cards are dense, and comparing them may be harder with a screen magnifier than reading the emailed report, which is plain and linear. If that affects you, ask for the report and skip the interactive view.
Tell us what does not work
If something on this site blocks you, tell us what you were trying to do and what got in the way. We will fix it, and in the meantime we will do the task for you by email — that is not a workaround we are embarrassed by, it is how most of our business is done anyway.
