Two questions come up in every serious procurement review: do you screen who you deal with, and what happens if a product has to be recalled. Here are the answers.
Sanctions and restricted parties
We do not knowingly transact with parties, or arrange shipments to destinations, subject to applicable sanctions or export-control restrictions. Where a transaction involves a destination, an end use or a party that raises a restriction, we stop and take advice rather than proceeding and hoping.
Responsibility for import compliance in your market remains yours as importer of record. What we can do is flag what we see and refuse what is clearly restricted.
Country of origin and duty
Goods sourced through us are made in China unless we tell you otherwise in writing. We do not participate in transhipment, origin misdeclaration or invoice undervaluation to reduce your duty exposure. Buyers occasionally ask; the answer is always no.
Origin fraud is the buyer's liability, not the agent's. An agent willing to arrange it is exposing you to a penalty you will pay alone, years later, with interest.
Product safety and recall
If a product we sourced becomes the subject of a safety incident or recall, what you need is traceability, quickly. We retain, and can produce:
- The factory identity and audit record for the production site.
- The approved specification and the sealed reference sample record.
- Inspection reports for the batch, including the sampling plan applied.
- Shipping documents identifying which container carried which production run.
These live in your project archive as well as in your inbox, so a query eighteen months later does not depend on someone's mailbox search.
Certification
We verify that supplier-supplied certificates cover the model you are buying and the test scope your product requires, and we flag gaps. We verify; we do not certify. Where a market requires accredited testing, that testing has to be commissioned from an accredited laboratory, and we will help you arrange it.
